Poem: Insatiable Desire

Posted in Joys of Romance tagged , , , , , , at 1:10 PM by Kay

I met you so long ago.

You were a stranger I wanted to know.

There was something about you I had to know.

I had to feel your touch.

I wanted you that much.

There you were my insatiable desire.

Someone who set my heart on fire.

The passion we felt was beyond compare.

The memories we shared will always be there.

I cherish the time we spent together

loving each other and existing as one.

My insatiable desire you will always be.

There is no other person who will affect me

like the effect you have on me.

You took me to another world.

This is a world unknown to most.

In that world,

I felt secure

because our love was so pure.

I will never love another as I love you.

My insatiable desire will always hold true.

You will always be my insatiable desire.

Poem: We Stole a Moment in Time

Posted in Joys of Romance tagged , , , , , , at 1:03 PM by Kay

An attraction turned into curiosity.

Curiosity of touch, feelings, and passion released.

Fantasies of the mind,

desire of the present

forbidden but considered.

Our lips met esthetically.

We embraced passionately.

We stole a moment in time

that hesitation interrupted

leaving us speechless

and desire for more.

Poem: Follow Your Heart

Posted in Motivation tagged , , , , , at 12:58 PM by Kay

When desire is so intense

that you can taste it and see it.

You must act upon it

because you have only one life to live.

No one can live your dreams but you.

If you do not follow your heart,

you will live a life dictated by others,

a life unfulfilled

and dreams not pursued.

Poem: Just Romantic Fantasies

Posted in Joys of Romance tagged , , , , , , , at 12:50 PM by Kay

Fantasies of a love past.

A relationship that did not last.

Wishing, hoping, and dreaming

but nothing materializes.

Just romantic fantasies

occupying your mind.

Dreams of bliss

that does not come to pass.

Wishing, hoping, and dreaming

of a love everlasting.

Once reality hits,

dreams disappear,

fantasies diminish

and all remains is just romantic fantasies.

Poem: After the Pain

Posted in Joys of Romance tagged , , , , , , at 12:45 PM by Kay

After all that is said and done,

will our love have won?

Something so good that did not last

because we both held on to the past.

After all we have been through,

does our love hold true?

Can it be that it was real,

the love we feel?

Could it be that things were wrong?

Wrong time, wrong place, wrong way.

feelings exist

somewhere deep inside

feelings so strong that we cannot hide.

After the pain,

can we go on?

Can we revive a love past, searching for feelings to last?

Can we pick up the pieces so long broken?

Can we mend a broken heart, uplift a broken spirit?

Can we develop a friendship and go on after the pain?

Poem: A Sense of Connection

Posted in Life tagged , , , at 12:38 PM by Kay

Once a couple,

now apart.

Two people

connected by offspring,

connected by a past,

connected by a feeling

that will always last.

How will they know what their feelings mean?

Signs will come

and actions will gleam.

These feelings may be mistaken for love

and may be mistaken for opportunity.

they exist

as feelings,

good or bad,

or a combination of both,

unexplained and unresolved,

a sense of connection.

Poem: Turning Point

Posted in Life tagged , , , , at 6:05 PM by Kay

When you reach the point in your life

when nothing can affect you,

and you have strong self-confidence,

and you rely solely on yourself and faith in the Lord,

and you strive to fulfill your dreams,

and you live for you,

you have reached the turning point

of self-actualization.

You have realized the importance

of being happy for you and not for anyone else.

You are important to your survival

and responsible for your heart, your mind,

and your destiny.

Poem: Patience is A Virtue

Posted in Life tagged , , , , at 5:58 PM by Kay

Patience is a virtue

and waiting can be burdensome.

Minutes seem like hours

and hours seem like days.

They say good things come to those who wait.

Sometimes waiting can be time consuming.

It angers the mind

and complicates the wait.

Patience is a virtue

and is often compromised.

Patience should be practiced in all we do.

Troubles will cease in time.

Poem: Faith

Faith is belief in the unseen.

Faith is dedication to the spirit.

Faith is living in the positive.

Faith is perseverance toward good.

Faith is uplifting to the mind.

Faith is prayer to the almighty,

power through preservation,

and denial of evil.
